Variation im städtischen Raum: Eine soziolinguistische Untersuchung zur intraurbanen Koexistenz von «ʒeísmo» und «ʃeísmo» in Buenos Aires

In Buenos Aires, the coexistence of the voiced “ʒeísmo” and the voiceless “ʃeísmo” is a striking phonetic characteristic that remains a highly dynamic phenomenon. This urban dialectological and sociolinguistic study uses a diasystemic perspective to focus on the synchronal distribution of the pre-palatal variants and discusses both place and group specific and pragmatic factors influencing the variation.
